    Love them, but WAY too expensiveI think Wiki stix are great. I buy them for my niece and nephews every year. I use them in my classroom and with the children I work with. But dang, they are NOT a good value. I'm pretty shocked at how little you get for the price. It's literally yarn dipped in wax, but they charge an arm and a leg for them. I'm starting to think that it's time to go back to pipe cleaners because I don't have to take out a second mortgage to afford those. 3... I use wire strippers to remove the top layer of wax and any embedded dirt.My two-year-old plays with these everyday. I couldn't find any information on how to clean them so I use wire strippers to remove the top layer of wax and any embedded dirt. I won't be able to do this too many times but am glad to get a few more uses out of them. 5My son was in love. The Wikki Stix have a stickyMy son has autism and an intellectual disability. We discovered this product when IHOP started giving them out with the children's menus. My son was in love. The Wikki Stix have a sticky, hard texture that allows you to shape them into whatever you can imagine. For some reason, my son really liked the texture and the way the Stixs molded into shapes.The only downside is I'm finding hard, balled-up pieces of Wikki Stix on my floors sometimes now. ;) Easy to clean up if they're left around, and it hasn't caused damage to anything. 5Great stixThese are great. To those complaining about the box "being half empty," why don't you read what you are buying? They say it is 468 stix. They send you 13 sheets of 36 stix each. That's 13x36, which equals 468 stix. They are not ripping you off, they send you a large box so you can store some of your creations with the stix. They are delightfully fun and easy to use, and great for all ages. I'm in my 20's and my friends and I love them. 5What a fun product Wikki Stixs are....Ah Wikki Stix The old fashioned wax covered yarn. My daughter LOVES them and I do as well because:1) It s not an electronic device2) It requires imagination.She ll sit for hours making creations that I ll inevitably have to wear but I don t mind as it s is a fun and it s a healthy time consumer.You ll get a box filled with sheets of Stix (468 individual pieces) along with some activity books and other fun stuff. What else can you buy so cheaply that will entertain for so many hours?All in all, it s a great product that will keep the young and old alike playing. Now go give them a try! 5InterestingThese are different. I have heard all the hype about them but I am still not sure I am a fan. I have a 3 year old and 7 year old and they think its just OK. I do love that they don't make a huge mess like other kid activities (play-doh, kinetic sand, or paint etc..) but to me there is not a whole lot you can do with them (maybe I am just not creative enough). My kids just tell me they don't know what to make with them. You do get a ton of WikkiStix in the box and a variety of colors and the box is a great storage box for them. Another negative is that they also leave a filmy residue on fingers. 4Wikki StixMy 6yr old daughter was introduced to wikki stix at a local restaurant. They give out the individual sets instead of crayons and coloring menu like most. Then you can either take your stix home or they have 3 huge picture windows at the front of the restaurant (by the entryway) where you can stick them on. It's pretty neat seeing all the designs the kids do. We decided to by this big box for her. She loves them. 5Better than playdoughI cannot say enough good things about these! I am not a playdough fan, although I do allow my children to use it, as it makes a mess and once mixed you can't unmixed it.These, however, take care of both of those issues! There is no mess to clean up! The kids can play and then put them in bags and walk away. No picking playing out of the cracks of the flooring, table or carpet!The Stix can be mixed up! They can twirls them together, make a ball or a nice picture and the Stix will hold their shape and stick together but also easily come apart.They are reusable! They can play and put away for so much longer than playdough that the price is well worth it in the end.The can be used in dot to dots or on laminated pictures. We find pictures online, laminate them and then the kids can use the Stix to accent their pictures. When done they remove, put them in bags and we reuse the pictures another day.Will continue to use and buy, so I definitely recommend. These would also make great gifts or fun things to do at birthday parties. 5Addictive! Lovely box, too. Perfect size.I bought these for my kids. They are wonderful. On first opening the box I was underwhelmed: "I paid $20 for this?" But then as I began to pull the sheets apart I saw that there are A LOT of wikki stix. Besides, I like the box--you can actually store them in there long-term.So I started playing with them, writing a word on the inside lid. They stick so beautifully, then they re-stick so beautifully, then they re-.... you get the picture.The attached picture is my new living room mural, courtesy of the 10-year old.I will be buying more. 5Fun productThe box is large compared to the amount of product you get, yes. But, I though it was so your kid can store their creation in the the box or use the box in the crafting. Overall the product is fun for kids. My children love it. Its clean and easy to use without any real mess. I know some parents complained that there isn't enough pieces to make some of the larger items pictured, but the wax strings are not meant to be used to make the internal body of a dinosaur or a car, for example--use play dough for that, or buy a figurine and then you cover it with the wax to decorate it. If you bother to look at the suggestions or instructions, it pretty much tells you that.The waxy string is used as a covering for your kids creation - like wrapping them around a coffee can, or a shoe box, or paper mache or a figure. You can use them to decorate paper. Think of it more like paint without having the mess to clean up. I think over all you get quite a bit for the money and for the most part it can be reused for quite sometime, as long as you have a clean work area for your kid to create and play in. If you have your kids playing in pet hair, dirt, and dust, then yes likely the waxy string will get pet hair all over it and get dirty, but that's not a fault in the product. I don't normally leave reviews, but I think its important to review a product for what it does, and this product is great. 5
