A hit with the preK autistic class.I bought these to go along with the "Five Little Monkeys" book (Five Little Monkeys Storybook Treasury) for story/circle time with a group of 5 year old autistic boys. They love them. It's a nice change from pictures attached with Velcro. We make up our own versions of the story where the monkeys jump on a truck, on our heads , on a chair. Not all stuffed toys have been a success. For some reason some stuffed dogs with puppies in their mouths were a fail and a few kids let me know by saying "no" "no dog". I think it is the clear and recognizable match with the book that makes these little guys fun. 5So well madeI got these for my grandchildren; they are extremely well made and durable. I saw some people reviewing saying that the space between the shirt and back was too small--maybe the manufacturer changed it, but the monkeys arms easily reach around fingers and attach to each other with small velcro rounds--you don't have to place your finger between the shirt and body in the back. These actually look much better in person than the photos--and they already looked great in the photo. 5Five Little MonkeysMy granddaughter loves the story about the five monkeys jumping on the bed so I got these for her for Christmas. I have videoed the monkeys jumping on my bed and sent it to her, she loved it. She is 2 years old and I m sure when she opens them up at Christmas she will love them. They are well made and I use chopsticks in the pocket in the back to use them as puppets. 5These STILL are a hit with my son 2 1/2 years later! Great gift too!My son was almost 4 when a relative gave him this book and set of five Monkeys. We were at a restaurant and he did not stop playing with them or the book. Right there it was it hit. But No, two years later he STILL loves these monkeys and the book!! One or more have gone to every major event, trip, restaurant in the land with us and bought us time and good behavior to boot!! I'm on today buying another set and sending the link to a friend who's grandchildren fell in love with them at our house! If you are getting one set, I would recommend getting 2 and squirreling the second set away as a gift or "secret replacement" should one of the monkeys "go missing" as they are not easy to find/replace. Just tried and true advice from this parent! (I know several reviewers have commented on the velcro not holding up but given the number of times they are used before it gives up the ghost, not a deal breaker. Also a very simple fix is pick up the "Mega Strength" sticky backed velcro at a hardware store and peel & stick a small piece on each side right over the original pieces and Bam! you are back in business in 10 seconds!) 5Great buy!These are awesome! They are high quality, I don't expect them to fall apart anytime soon. I don't know why some people can't fit their fingers in the puppets. I don't exactly have petite hands---ring size 8-- and I don't have any problems fitting my fingers in them. My 3 year old also, doesn't have any problems using them. Nice, well-made dollsWe bought these for our nine month old and she's been playing with them multiple times a day for the past five months. We keep them in their bag and it's always an event to get them out in the morning. We hide them (in plain sight) around the living room and ask her where the monkeys are and she goes and finds them. She likes tossing them and holding them during walks (haven't lost one yet). She's very into multiples of the same thing right now, so these are great. We also have the ikea finger puppets, but they're smaller and less substantial and she hardly ever touched them. We don't use the monkeys as puppets or with the book/song yet. But we haven't had trouble fitting fingers into the puppets either. Though, I have smallish fingers. 5I bought the finger puppets for him for Christmas and he couldn't have been happier. He took a play bed and immediately startedMy 2 1/2 year old son LOVES the five little monkeys... so much that he will sing the song over and over for 30 minutes straight! I bought the finger puppets for him for Christmas and he couldn't have been happier. He took a play bed and immediately started holding the monkeys together to jump on the bed. There are even velcro on each of their hands so you can interlock them all together (which he figured out quickly and began to play 'ring around a rosie'). I'd say this was a big hit! 5Not finger puppets!This is a great toy - but simply not finger puppets. Rather, they are very small monkeys that the child can play with. This does not in any way affect the function of the toy - and my little one plays with them and actually loves them, especially when they "jump" on the bed. They are quite well made, their small size is perfect for toddlers, and they are a great addition to the story book/rhyme. The reason for 4 stars is that they are not finger puppets as described. 4Absolutely great quality !I just got these today and I cannot say how cute they are! Price is a little to pricy , but for my little girls birthday I didn't mind . They are finger puppets . You have to slip your finger into the back of the monkeys shirt :) they are tiny so they won't be a huge monkey on your finger :) 5
