Customer Reviews

Great stock. But the shield is a bit too small. The shield isn't really big enough to block darts. It does help some but if your going for a shield definitely try the Stampede sheild instead. Which is about 10$ on eBay.The stock is great. It's a little weird to hold by itself but it's amazing for a back up shot or turning around corners while using a flywheel blaster so you don't have to review up before you shoot. 4Good as stock, horrible as blaster. The stock is decently sturdy and long enough for adults, however the integrated jolt performs poorly and is cumbersome to use. You have to take the stock the blaster in order to fire the dart, and in that time, it would be much more practical to draw a sidearm. It will fire over the top of certain blasters (Stryfe, Rampage) while attached, but any rail attachments will block the dart. I ended up removing the blaster parts form the stock and using it as a regular stock. It is the best readily available stock currently, but not as comfortable as a raider or lightningstorm stock. The clear shield is very small and fairly useless at blocking darts, however most nerf rail attachments are not practical, and I put it on only for the aesthetics. I bought the set primarily for the stock, so the shield does not influence my rating. 4Decent stockSpring in the stock-blaster is adequate, maybe a bit better than a jolt. Shield attachment is useless, the only reason that it's not in the landfill is because I paid for it :/ Stock is pretty short tho 3A fun blaster upgrade kit in the Nerf Modulus lineI held off on picking this one up for a while mostly because the "blaster shield" component is less-that-diserable for anything but fun blaster cosmetic upgrades. This is because the shield itself is very small, and actively using an object to block Nerf rounds is becoming more difficult as blaster power increases.Despite this, the blaster stock attachment is actually a very fun and reasonably useful tool in the Nerf arsenal. Not only is it a reasonably comfortable stock that is compatible with a large number of Nerf N-Strike Elite and Modulus blasters (among others), the stock itself is a direct-plunger blaster that can be detached for a quick "hold-out" style shot. As with most N-Strike Elite direct-plunger builds, the blaster stock is reasonably powerful though with the traditional wild accuracy of Elite Darts, but as with most Elite blasters it can also take more accurate third-party options as well.Overall, a fun upgrade kit for a Modulus arsenal, though the weight of this one is on the blaster stock so it's probably best to wait for a lower price if that is the only sought-after part. 4GiftBought this for my Son's Nerf Gun as one of it's accessories it's worth the money and hustle free instead of hitting the stores finding this piece I can simply order online and voila it's on my door step the next day. 4so it works better for parentsI just posted a review of the Nerf Modulus ECS-10 and my experiences with it and the three accessory kits I purchased. This review repeats my thoughts about the Strike and Defend kits. You can find my whole review under the ECS-10, or you can find my reviews for the Long Range Upgrade Kit, the Flip Clip, and the Strike and Defend kit on their respective pages."The final accessory kit we got was the Strike and Defend kit. This one has some redeeming value. It has a shield that can attach to any of the rail mounts. Hypothetically, you could get three of them for maximum defense. The shield can flip down if it interfering with your aim, but does add a little protection around the face. The other component is a a much more stable stock. This stock is a bit longer, so it works better for parents. It also doubles as a single shot holdout blaster (you an detach the stock and fire a single round out of it). This attachment is totally worth the additional expense. My only issue with this set is that the four year old wants to use the stock as HIS blaster, so he can play with me and the 9 year old (which means I don't really get the bonus stability). I'd rate this kit as a 5 star item." 5Buy this!NERF players will love this! Easy to put on and take off! Very durable! 5Would I recommend it? Probably not as a set.The stock w/ built-in single-shot blaster is decent in terms of being long enough for those with longer arms and needing a long stock. As a blaster, it however is sadly lacking. There's the main issue that it cannot fire straight on most blasters you'd attach it to, and the fact that time has to be taken to actually detach it from whatever blaster the stock was attached to.The stock blaster would have been perfect if the barrel could at least be angled up to 45 degrees so that it could fire over the rails or attachments on a Nerf blaster or could be raised about an inch or so in a pop-up like manner to fire over most blasters' rails (assuming no scopes were added and only relying on any built-in "iron" sights). Then also add a detachment switch closer to the trigger so Nerfers could detach the stock blaster single-handedly.As to the shield, not much to say other than it's "ok". It's rather small and unlikely to do much other than allow you to hide sections of your head while aiming down the sights (assuming the shield is attached to side rails). It's also not as transparent as the super-soaker shield attachments, which may cause aiming difficulties when used in front of Nerf scopes that have cheap transparent plastic (Nitron scope for one). The only three pluses are the ability to mount more than one more easily than the Stampede's shield and still retain frontal visibility while also covering a bit more than the old side-shield exclusive to a certain super soaker blaster, the fact it can mount to more blasters without conflict unlike the former two, and the fact it's also more readily available to purchase. The shield itself would have been much better if it was at least an inch to two inches taller with a more secure snap-lock into position and could adjust its position on its base in a forward-to-back manner to better fit it around scopes, grip points, and other attachments.Would I recommend it? Probably not in set form. The stock blaster alone may find some use for those needing a longer stock before resorting to 3D-printed stocks, and as a last-ditch Jolt. The shield itself is more decorative rather than useful. 3The stock- with it's "concealed" single-shot blaster is his favorite part thoughMy son (10 years old at the time of purchase) LOVES this upgrade kit. He loves the folding shield, and experiments with how and where (and to which blaster) to attach it. The stock- with it's "concealed" single-shot blaster is his favorite part though. He loves quickly detaching it from his Recon and then popping off the solo dart. These upgrade kits are fun, and a good price. 5Awesome upgrade/Stand alone Nerf gunGot this for work..... yes... work. We have office Nerf wars and a select few people take it competitively, me being one of them. I attached this to a Nerf crossbow I had that isn't part of the Modulus line, and it fit like a charm. This is bigger/longer than the other stocks I've used or seen on other Nerf guns, and you can really hug it into your body and get some great shots! It comes with one Nerf dart, and it is a single shot Nerf gun in itself! The shield has saved me many times from deadly crossfire, and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade their existing Nerf gun, or to anyone just looking to buy a cheap Nerf gun to play around with! With the shield and the single shot action, everyone will cower in fear of your power! 5
