    Won the raceWe bought these for our son's derby car race and his car came first in his own den and 3rd in the King of the hill. So these axles did make a huge difference besides our design and the weight adjustments we did on the car. 5The axles are fantastic!!These axles are fantastic!! The only recommendation I have for other buyers is to lightly sand the area inserted into the wood. These are graphite coated and can come loose fairly easy. I sanded them each a 1/3 of the way up the axle. Once I had the alignment set, I then glued them in place. The results are remarkable. In a competition where .01 second matters, these are a great investment. 5Winner! My son won his first BSA Pine Wood Derby!Well... My son took 1st this year in the local Boy Scout pine wood derby. We have never competed before. He had a solid design. These nails made a huge difference on the wheels. Every time we spun the wheels, they would spin endlessly. Obviously little to no friction. They might be expensive (for nails), but if you want to ensure success, do not hesitate in buying these bad-boys.Also... Like other reviews say the wheels spin with very little friction. My sons car won in his pack pretty easily. He was racing in the 3.1 range all day. To be fair We also had Tungsten weights added to the back of the car, but these axles did thier job better then expected 5Slower than the axles that come with the pinewood derby kitI tried these, but my wheels would barely spin (I even used the axle alignment tool which was a good buy). After testing spinning the wheels on these axles and seeing them barely spin. I pulled them and tried the stock axles and they were so much faster. Don't waste your money 1Good accessoryWe bought these to help my sons pinewood derby car go faster. He won second place. These were ok. These were the polished and graphite coated. Do not bend them, the graphite coating will chip off. 4They work well....we wonWe won the PW derby using these, after realizing the mess they gave us in the box were not even close to straight, true, or round 5Winner!Used these and created a winner. 5Pinewood derbyOur first pinewood derby and I screwed up the originals so this was a plus. 5
