Great productThis was purchased for a Hedwig to complement my son's Harry Potter costume for Halloween. It was PERFECT. Looks just like the photo and was quality made (no oddly fuffled "feathers", weird positions or lumps or other character differences you sometimes see when ordering stuffed animals online). Son was so happy with it, and still sleeps with to this day almost half a year later. Has held up well, too, and survived a few mild spot cleanings using an old toothbrush and a dye-free detergent. 5Soft & sweetSuper soft, great size. Got a birdcage from a craft store to put her in and it made my son's 12th birthday- he loved it! 5Absolutely LovelyGenerally when I buy anything from Amazon, I always lean on the reviews to guide me on whether or not I should purchase an item. Since this owl had no reviews to read, I decided I would post one to help anyone considering buying it. I have nothing negative to share about this owl, naturally you have to fluff out its feathers when you pull it out of the box, and its beak is a little crooked and leans off to one side, but I think that only adds to its charm. It is so soft and sweet, a really lovely addition to my owl collection. I absolutely adore it :) 5beautiful! Yes, 10" tall! Stands without tipping.I was concerned when I read the August 5, 2019 one-star review, posted just last month, by A. Holzhauer. The buyer said the owl was only about 7 inches, and included a photo next to a measuring tape. However, the seller clearly pictures the owl next to a dimension line indicating a full 10" in height. Since Amazon is so good about returns if needed, I decided to order this owl anyway, since it looked nicer and more well-made than the other similar owls for sale. It is beautiful! Maybe the seller messed up on A. Holzhauer's order, but this owl is large, fluffy, well-crafted, and it even stands without tipping. It will be a perfect "study buddy" on our son's school desk when he wears his Harry Potter costume to school on Halloween! Definitely an excellent likeness of Hedwig. 5HEDWIG I LOVE YOUCutest little thing ever! I got this owl for my Harry Potter themed classroom. Aside from the black markings on the chest, it looks just like Hedwig. This owl is sturdy while still being soft enough to cuddle. It stands up straight and firmly balances by its feet and tail. I was worried about the ''hairy'' looking wings (as compared to a similar owl I was looking at that had fur wings like the rest of the body) but I think it makes it look more realistic. Our son is currently into owls, so when he saw this owl he fell in love with it. The legs are sturdy enough to stand on their own and its a pretty solid plush. I found the hairy wings to be a bit weird, but my son doesn't seem to mind. He named the owl "Douglas" and sleeps with it. I also purchased the Aurora World Miyoni Snowy Owl but he loves the Douglas Legend Snowy Owl a lot better, judging by the amount of time he spends with it. 5Exceeded My ExpectationsAs many of you know, sometimes the picture of a product looks quite different from what you end up getting, but as you can see, that was not the case with this product. My owl looks even better than I had imagined it would. I got it because I wanted a good quality owl that looked like Hedwig from Harry Potter and it did not disappoint. The owl is very soft and is also well made. I highly recommend it. 5Very realistic and pretty owlLooks like the owl from Harry Potter and, while it's smaller than Hedwig, it looks about the right size as Hedwig if an elementary school age child holds it. However, even if an adult uses it as Harry Potter prop, it will still fine.My only issue has to do with the fur that is on the wing. If you ever have to wash the owl, the fur becomes matted and you can not get that soft feather look back. 4surprisingly gorgeousmy daughter asked Santa for a real life snowy owl for christmas. That was definitely not going to happen. So I purchased this as a substitute. It's the perfect size. The wings can flap and spread (not on their own) which was a big selling point. I wanted it to look as realistic as I could while being economical. The stitching is sturdy. The eyes are beautiful. If there was a complaint I would say that the "feathers" on the wings stick together quite a bit. My daughter enjoys brushing hers though, so it isn't something that we even rate as important. Beautiful bird! :-) 5
